Inside Scottsdale's Fall Home Tour: A Look at the Season's Most Striking Residential Design

Scottsdale's design pedigree rarely gets a more intimate showcase than the annual Home Tour, and this November's edition promises to be one of the most anticipated yet. Presented by Phoenix Home & Garden, the tour opens the doors of several private Scottsdale residences to the public for a single day, offering a rare look at the architecture and interiors that define the city's design identity.

A Rare Look Behind Scottsdale's Front Doors

Scheduled for Saturday, November 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the self-guided tour invites visitors into a curated selection of private homes across the city. Each residence on the route reflects a distinct point of view, from sleek contemporary lines to warmer desert-modern interpretations, giving attendees a chance to study craftsmanship and spatial design up close rather than through a magazine spread.

Design as a Reflection of Place

What distinguishes Scottsdale's architectural voice is its relationship to the desert itself. Homes on tours like this one tend to lean into their surroundings, with wide expanses of glass framing mountain views, natural stone and warm wood tones echoing the landscape, and outdoor living spaces treated as seriously as any interior room. It's a style that has become closely associated with the city, and one this event captures particularly well.

A Tradition Rooted in Local Craft

Phoenix Home & Garden has spent decades chronicling the region's architecture, interior design, and landscape work, and the Home Tour is one of its most visible showcases of that legacy each year. For design enthusiasts, the tour offers a chance to see local architects, builders, and interior designers translate desert living into finished, livable spaces.

Planning a Visit

Tickets range from roughly $95 to $138 depending on timing and fees, and the tour is self-guided, allowing visitors to move through the residences at their own pace across the six-hour window. Comfortable shoes are worth the consideration, as several routes in past years have covered ground between properties.
